Background checks, now candidate self-service
Clinicians complete their own Vetty background check through a secure invite instead of staff retyping SSNs and consent forms — and verified employment history now comes back automatically.
Ordering a background check used to mean a staff member collecting a candidate's full personal information — Social Security number, date of birth, address — plus three separate consent forms, then re-entering all of it by hand into Vetty.
Now Vetty invites the candidate directly. They get a secure link, enter their own information on Vetty's own portal, and the check runs from there. Staff never see or handle sensitive personal data they don't need to, and the invite reaches the candidate automatically the moment a check is ordered.
What's new for your team:
- One background check per candidate per operation — a duplicate order can't quietly run (and get billed) twice.
- If a candidate has already been checked recently, the system finds and reuses that record instead of starting over.
- Verified employment history now comes back as part of the report and is added straight to the candidate's file — one less manual step during review.
- Every request and response is logged for audit, with sensitive fields like SSN and date of birth automatically masked.
This is the default flow for Vetty-integrated workspaces going forward. Ask your account team if you'd like it enabled.
